Background
Our client was initially charged under section 60 of the Road Rules 2014 for a traffic offense, as well as charges for possession of marijuana and cocaine. Through effective representations to the police, we successfully had the possession charges withdrawn, allowing the case to proceed solely on the traffic offence charge. Our client had previously received a Section 10 dismissal for another drug related matter several years prior.

Our office represented our client at the Local Court of NSW, Downing Centre. Our client entered a plea of guilty to the traffic offense. Court’s Decision

Acknowledging these factors, His Honour issued one of the lightest possible sentences: A section 10(b) dismissal or better known as a conditional release order for a short period without any fine or conviction.
Outcome
